Waking Up to a New Path
In 2012, a two-hour conversation with Robert Kiyosaki woke me up. We began discussing life as military leaders—him commanding a combat helicopter crew and me a nuclear attack submarine. Our talk shifted to the failures of our school system and what leads to true success. His comment, “Everyone is a genius at something, but our school system and society only reward academic genius and push the rest into becoming obedient workers,” struck me deeply. At that moment, I realized I was on the wrong path.
A Turning Point
Just before this conversation, I had left command of the USS Tucson, read "The Creature from Jekyll Island," and spent hours with its author, G. Edward Griffin. A month earlier, Ayn Rand’s "Atlas Shrugged" moved me like no book ever before. Kiyosaki’s comment and Griffin’s economic insights made me realize my true purpose was to help others secure their future and perfect their genius. This realization set me on a new path to create a thriving America where people focus on their unique talents.
A Childhood of Hard Work
Growing up on a dairy farm in Illinois in the 1970s-80s, I learned the importance of hard work and resilience. The high interest rates, inflation, and gas shortage of those times brought scarcity and heartbreak. We started small side businesses to stay afloat, but ultimately, we lost everything. My father’s spirit and health declined, but his resolve to keep promises inspired me. Determined to show him his efforts were worth it, I pursued success through the Naval Academy.
A Career in the Navy
Despite being underprepared for my first year, I persevered with the help of new friends and the vision of my father’s pride. Tragically, my father passed away before my graduation, which was a devastating blow. Nonetheless, I continued my Navy career, achieving personal success and positioning myself to become an Admiral. However, chasing the wrong goal nearly cost me my family. I realized that achieving guaranteed financial security required a different approach.
Finding Financial Security
My career focus changed after understanding Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and realizing a large investment account alone couldn’t guarantee financial security. My wife’s comment about our life highlighted I was on the wrong path. Reading "Atlas Shrugged," time with Griffin, and Kiyosaki’s insights revealed that true safety and security come from adding value to others, not just amassing wealth. This revelation saved my marriage and redefined my life’s purpose.
Creating a New Path
I took action to protect my family and moved our assets to generate passive income, freeing my time to discover and master my unique genius. Adding value to others led to more abundance and confidence. I realized that prosperity comes from improving others’ lives and leveraging our unique talents.

Today, I help others secure their future by establishing protection and guaranteed financial foundations while creating passive income. Many in the middle class struggle to find a path to permanent success and fear running out of money in retirement. Traditional advice has led to financial insecurity for many.
